According to police reports, a 23-year-old woman from Fatehwadi filed a formal complaint with the Sarkhej police station on Thursday. The complaint details that the violent incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 PM at a grocery shop located in Makarba's Chhipa Nagar area.
The complainant was present at her family's grocery shop alongside her father when a neighboring couple arrived to purchase groceries. During their visit, the shop owner reminded the male customer about pending dues for goods previously taken on credit. The customer reportedly refused to settle the outstanding amount and instead demanded additional groceries on credit.
The situation escalated rapidly when both the complainant and her father declined to provide more goods until the previous dues were cleared. This refusal sparked a heated argument that quickly turned physical.
The Violent Assault and Immediate Aftermath
The complaint alleges that the couple launched a physical assault against the young shop owner. She reported being subjected to verbal abuse during the confrontation. When she asked the male customer to refrain from using offensive language, his wife suddenly became enraged and attacked her.
"When I asked him not to use filthy language, his wife suddenly became enraged and bit my right ear," the complainant stated in her police report.
The violent bite caused significant injury, resulting in bleeding from her right ear. Witnesses at the scene immediately called the 108 ambulance service for emergency medical assistance. The injured shop owner was transported to Sola Civil Hospital, where medical professionals administered stitches to her wounded ear.
