New Delhi: A 26-year-old woman died after allegedly falling from the fourth floor of a building in outer Delhi's Alipur on Monday night, police said.
The woman, who is married and has two children, was taken by her family to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.
Police said they received information about the incident at the Alipur police station and rushed to the spot.
Officers suspect that the woman died by suicide due to an ongoing marital dispute between the couple. “We have seen the CCTV footage from nearby areas and even spoken to some neighbours, and it appears as though the woman jumped,” a senior police officer said.
Police added that a probe is underway to ascertain any other angle or foul play.
