A tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning in Bengaluru's Whitefield area, resulting in the death of a 46-year-old woman and serious injuries to her teenage daughter. The incident took place on Old Airport Road under the Whitefield traffic police limits.

Victims Identified

The deceased has been identified as Kantha C, 46, while her 16-year-old daughter, Neha T, sustained severe injuries. Neha is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital after undergoing surgery.

How the Accident Happened

According to police reports, the accident occurred between Thubarahalli and Siddhapura. Kantha was riding her two-wheeler to drop her daughter at college from their residence in Marathahalli. A school bus approaching from behind allegedly rammed into their two-wheeler, causing both riders to fall onto the road. Kantha died on the spot.

Driver Flees Scene

The driver abandoned the bus and fled the scene immediately after the accident. A case has been registered, and police are making efforts to trace and apprehend the driver.
