A 30-year-old woman lawyer died under suspicious circumstances in Kharar late on Tuesday night. The deceased, identified as Priyanka, was a resident of Phase 6 in Mohali and practiced law at the local courts.
Incident Details
According to the police, Priyanka was found unconscious in her rented accommodation in Kharar. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and are investigating the matter.

Senior police officials visited the spot and collected evidence. The body has been sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death. The police are also questioning the landlord and neighbors to gather more information.
