Woman Found Murdered in Mandi Dabwali, Accused Arrested Over Financial Dispute
A shocking incident unfolded in Mandi Dabwali on Friday night, as a 28-year-old woman was discovered murdered, sending shockwaves through the local community. According to sources, the victim's throat was slit with a sharp weapon, marking a brutal crime that has left residents in distress.
Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest
Police responded promptly to the situation, arresting the accused within hours of the incident. Authorities have indicated that a dispute over money appears to be the primary motive behind this heinous act. The deceased has been identified as Suman, a resident of Kabir Basti in Dabwali. The accused, Vikram, who also hails from Kabir Basti, was taken into custody following a rapid investigation.
DSP Kapil Ahlawat provided details, stating that police received information about the murder in Khatik Mohalla on Friday night. A dedicated police team rushed to the scene, conducted a thorough inspection, and collected crucial evidence. A formal murder case was registered based on a complaint filed by the deceased's brother, Raju.
Investigation Unfolds Key Details
During the investigation, police identified Vikram as the prime suspect and apprehended him shortly after. According to the complaint, Suman was married to a man in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, but had been residing in Mandi Dabwali for the past three years. Raju recounted that on Friday night, his mother alerted him to an assault on his sister.
Upon arriving at her rented house, he found a crowd gathered outside. When he questioned his nephew, Suman's son, the child revealed that Vikram had visited their home around 8 pm. The accused allegedly handed the boy a mobile phone and entered the house. After some time, Vikram emerged, took the child outside, and gave him Rs 100, instructing him to buy something to eat before departing.
When the child returned home later, he tragically discovered his mother lying dead inside the house. This account has been pivotal in the police investigation.
Motive and Ongoing Probe
During preliminary interrogation, police learned that Vikram had been visiting the woman's house for some time. Investigators suspect that a dispute over a financial transaction led to the murder. Police have confirmed that further investigation is underway to gather more evidence and understand the full context of the crime.
