Woman, Son Killed in SUV Crash in Nuh District

A 54-year-old woman and her 33-year-old son were killed after a Mahindra Thar SUV collided head-on with their motorcycle in the Nuh district on Tuesday evening. The impact threw both riders onto the road, causing severe injuries that proved fatal before medical assistance could arrive.

Accident Details

The incident occurred near Leharwadi village in the Punhana area. According to police, the SUV driver fled the scene immediately after the crash. The deceased were identified as Rehana and her son Vakeel, residents of Alampur village in Rajasthan's Deeg district.

Family Account

Fakhruddin, a relative who was following them on another motorcycle, filed a complaint. He stated that on May 12, the family had visited relatives in Malai village, Palwal district. Around 7 pm while returning, Vakeel was riding the motorcycle with his mother as a pillion. Near Rashid's hotel in Leharwadi, a black Mahindra Thar allegedly came from the opposite direction at high speed and struck their motorcycle head-on.

A relative disclosed that the tragedy struck just days after a wedding celebration at their home. Rehana's younger son had gotten married on Sunday. “On the second day after the wedding, Vakeel went with his mother on the newly received bike to meet his maternal uncle,” a relative said.
