Gurgaon: The body of a woman was discovered on the leopard trail on Sunday morning. The body was spotted around 9:30 am by a man grazing his cattle, who promptly alerted the police. The woman is believed to be between 28 and 30 years old. No visible injury marks were found on her body, and her identity has yet to be established. Police have taken the body into custody for a postmortem, after which the cause of death will be determined.
Second Body Identified as Missing Ragpicker
In a separate incident, the decomposed body of a woman recovered from a forested area opposite Elan Mall in Sector 88 on Friday has been identified as Sabina, 25, originally from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. Sabina had been living in a slum in the Sikanderpur, Bada Gaon area of Kherki Daula for several years and worked as a ragpicker.
She had been missing for three days before her body was found. Her family had filed a missing person complaint at Kherki Daula police station after failing to trace her. The case was initially investigated by Sector 10 police but has since been transferred to Kherki Daula. Police are scanning CCTV footage and questioning individuals who were in contact with Sabina before her death. The postmortem report is awaited.
