Three Women Execute Daring Outfit Theft in Ahmedabad Boutique

The Sola police in Ahmedabad have registered a theft case after three unidentified women allegedly stole five expensive outfits from a readymade garment shop located near Silver Star crossroads in the Chandlodia area. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, but was discovered only during a routine stock check the following day.

The Well-Planned Robbery

According to the official complaint filed by store owner Krunal Shah, the three women entered his establishment around 5 PM on Tuesday. They appeared to be genuine customers interested in purchasing traditional Indian wear.

The store staff assisted the trio as they browsed through various patterns and designs of salwar kameez. The women took turns using the trial room to try on multiple dresses, showing keen interest in the collection.

After spending considerable time in the store and trying on several outfits, the women left without making any purchases. They told the staff they weren't satisfied with the available selection, which didn't raise any immediate suspicion.

CCTV Footage Reveals the Truth

The theft came to light on Wednesday when Krunal Shah conducted a routine stock verification and discovered that five salwar kameez dresses were missing from his inventory.

Shah immediately reviewed the store's CCTV footage, which revealed the sophisticated modus operandi of the accused women. The footage clearly showed that each woman had carried two outfits into the trial room but returned only one outfit before exiting the store.

In his police complaint, Shah alleged that the women deliberately distracted the store staff while executing their well-coordinated theft. The missing outfits represent significant financial loss to the small business owner.

Police Investigation Underway

The Sola police have registered a First Information Report for theft and have launched a thorough investigation into the matter. Authorities are examining the CCTV footage in detail to identify and trace the three accused women.

This incident serves as a warning to retail store owners in Ahmedabad to maintain extra vigilance, particularly during peak shopping hours when stores are busy and staff attention is divided.

Police officials have advised shopkeepers to implement stricter security measures in trial rooms and maintain constant monitoring of customer activities to prevent similar incidents in the future.
