Youth Congress protests NEET paper leak in Hubballi

Youth Congress activists in Hubballi staged a protest on Wednesday condemning the leak of the NEET question paper and demanding the resignation of Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The activists also attempted to gherao the residence of Union minister Pralhad Joshi but were blocked midway by police and detained.

Protest Details

The protest was led by Hubballi-Dharwad Yuva Congress president and corporator Arjun Patil. Activists gathered near Ramesh Bhavan hotel in Keshwapur and began a march towards Union minister Pralhad Joshi’s residence. However, police officers led by ACP North Shivanand Chalvadi stopped them by barricading the route. When protesters attempted to push through, police detained them.

Allegations and Demands

Arjun Patil alleged that this is the second time NEET question papers have been leaked. He stated, "Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan should take responsibility and tender his resignation. Students spend lakhs of rupees to prepare for the exams and have to face the consequences of the Centre’s negligence."
