Youth's Body Discovered in Abandoned Patna Residence
Police in Patna made a grim discovery on Monday. They found the body of a young man inside an abandoned house located in Minhaj Nagar. This area falls under the jurisdiction of the Phulwarisharif police station in Patna district.
Victim Identified as Local Resident
The deceased individual has been identified as Mehtab Alam. He was just 21 years old and lived in the same locality where his body was found. The news has sent shockwaves through the neighborhood, leaving residents concerned and anxious.

Sushil Kumar, who serves as the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO-I) of Phulwarisharif, provided details about the case. He stated that police received crucial information around 4 pm on Monday. Someone reported a body lying in the area, prompting immediate action.
"Acting swiftly, a police team reached the spot and started an investigation," Sushil Kumar explained. The officers wasted no time in securing the scene and initiating preliminary inquiries.
Forensic Teams and Dog Squad Deployed
To assist with the investigation, police called in specialized teams. A forensic science laboratory (FSL) team arrived at the location to collect evidence meticulously. They examined the abandoned house for any clues that might shed light on the incident.
Additionally, a dog squad joined the effort. These trained canines helped search the area for further evidence, enhancing the thoroughness of the examination.
Body Sent for Post-Mortem at AIIMS-Patna
After completing the initial on-site procedures, authorities transported the body to AIIMS-Patna. Medical experts there will conduct a detailed post-mortem examination. This autopsy report is expected to reveal the precise cause of Mehtab Alam's death.
