Youth Shot in Ambala Village Dispute, Police Hunt Accused

A 19-year-old youth sustained bullet injuries following a dispute in Dukheri village under Parao police station in Ambala on Wednesday. The victim, identified as Keshav Rana, a resident of the village, was rushed to a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

Incident Details

According to police, Keshav had been involved in a verbal altercation with some youths in the village recently. The accused had allegedly threatened to kill him within three days. On Wednesday, the accused opened fire, hitting Keshav. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the street. The footage shows a youth fleeing after the firing, while Keshav is seen lying on the road. The exact motive behind the dispute is yet to be ascertained.

Police Investigation

Upon receiving information, police officials and the Scene of Crime team reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Two empty cartridges were recovered from the scene. SHO of Parao police station, Devender Kumar, stated, “A firing incident was reported from Dukheri village. It has come to light that the victim had a dispute in the village recently. Two empty cartridges were recovered from the spot. Efforts are being made to nab the accused.”

After hearing gunshots, Keshav’s family members and neighbors rushed out of their homes. They immediately took him to a private hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. The village remains tense as police continue their search for the suspects.
