According to police reports, the victim, identified as Asgar Ansari (25), a resident of Amarpur, was riding his motorcycle with a companion, Furkan Ansari, when they were targeted.
Asgar Ansari was reportedly on his way to Godda railway station to receive his father when the attack unfolded. Three assailants, also on a motorcycle, approached the duo from behind and opened fire. Preliminary investigations indicate that the attackers fired four rounds, with one bullet striking Asgar Ansari in the leg, causing serious injuries.

Officer in-Charge Dinesh Mahli of the Town Police Station immediately rushed to the scene with a team upon receiving the alert. The victim was swiftly shifted to Sadar Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
