AAP: Bittu Exposed Badals' Role in Punjab Drug Crisis

AAP Accuses BJP Leader of Exposing Badals' Role in Punjab's Drug and Gangster Issues

The Aam Aadmi Party made a strong statement on Friday. They said BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu exposed the truth about the Badals. This happened after Bittu admitted something important. He stated that drugs and gangsterism would return to Punjab if the Shiromani Akali Dal comes to power.

Baltej Pannu Questions BJP's Stance on Alliance with Badals

Baltej Pannu serves as the Punjab AAP state media in-charge. He issued a press statement from Chandigarh. Pannu emphasized that Bittu raised extremely serious questions. The BJP leader publicly stated that an alliance with the Badals would mean a return of chitta and gangsterism in Punjab. Chitta refers to synthetic drugs.

Pannu called these statements confessions rather than ordinary political remarks. He said they clearly establish who destroyed Punjab between 2007 and 2017. The AAP leader directly asked Bittu a pointed question. If he knew the Badals were responsible for pushing Punjab into drugs and gangster violence, why do some BJP leaders in Punjab aggressively advocate an alliance with the SAD?

Pannu asserted that the answers lie within the BJP itself. He highlighted the leadership of the Punjab BJP. The party is led by former Punjab Congress president Sunil Jakhar. Former Congressman and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is also a senior BJP leader now.

Both leaders openly argue that the BJP cannot survive in Punjab without aligning with the Badals. Pannu questioned their awareness. Does this mean they do not know who spread drugs and nurtured gangsterism in Punjab? Or do they simply choose to ignore it for political convenience?

Bittu's Remarks on BJP's Independent Strength in Punjab

Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu spoke to the media on Friday. He indicated that the BJP is capable of coming to power in Punjab on its own strength. The party does not need to ally with its erstwhile partner, the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Bittu made these comments on the sidelines of a Punjab BJP protest. The protest focused on the deteriorating law and order situation and other issues in the state. When asked about speculation regarding a potential alliance with the SAD, Bittu said no such thing is being discussed.

The AAP's response underscores ongoing political tensions in Punjab. The debate centers on accountability for past issues and future alliances. Pannu's statements aim to hold the BJP accountable for its internal contradictions regarding the Badals.
