The Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Patiala, is set to conduct an Agniveer recruitment rally from July 30 to August 10, 2026, at the Raja Bhalinder Singh Sports Complex, Polo Ground. The drive targets eligible youth from six districts of Punjab.
Districts Covered and Preparations
The rally, organized under the Zonal Recruitment Office, Jalandhar, in coordination with troops of the Airawat Division of Kharga Corps, will cover candidates from Patiala, Sangrur, Mansa, Barnala, Malerkotla, and Fatehgarh Sahib districts. A meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuprita Johal and the Director Recruiting of ARO reviewed the preparations. Officials from the Army and district administration attended to finalize arrangements.
Expected Turnout and Arrangements
More than 12,000 candidates are expected to participate. Johal directed all departments to ensure robust security, traffic management, medical facilities, sanitation, drinking water, and other essential services. She urged eligible candidates to strictly follow recruitment guidelines, report on their scheduled dates, and carry all required documents.

Candidates must adhere to the recruitment schedule and bring original certificates, identification, and other necessary paperwork. The rally aims to streamline the selection process for Agniveers, part of the Indian Army's short-term service scheme.
