However, counsellors revealed that the relationship between the woman and the youth persisted even after the move, further complicating the situation.

According to the counsellors, the woman allegedly objected to the marriage proposal and even approached the prospective fiancee, leading to fresh tensions. The woman claimed that the youth had hidden the marriage discussions from her, which added to her distress and sense of betrayal.

Following the dispute, the Abhayam 181 helpline team intervened and conducted counselling sessions with both families. The counsellors explained that both sides were advised about the complications arising from the relationship, particularly given the significant age gap and the woman's marital status. The woman was strongly advised not to approach the youth or his family further, as such actions could worsen matters and lead to legal consequences.
