Akhilesh Yadav Calls for Holistic Health Approach at Bhubaneswar Summit

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav emphasized a comprehensive view of medical health on Saturday. He spoke at the Holistic Health Summit organized by Vision India – Plan, Development & Ascent in Bhubaneswar. Yadav stated that diseases and health issues now involve both physical and emotional aspects. These elements require equal attention for effective treatment.

Redefining Health Beyond Physical Parameters

Akhilesh Yadav explained that medical health extends beyond mere bodily functions. It includes an individual's state of mind and emotions. He advocated for a holistic approach to lifestyle as the foundation of any medical regime. This method ensures overall well-being and prevents illnesses.

The Holistic Health Summit forms part of a broader series of programs. The Samajwadi Party is conducting these events across various states. They aim to engage with experts and stakeholders from diverse fields. The goal is to understand current needs and prepare a blueprint for government action. This blueprint will address pressing issues for public prosperity.

Components of Holistic Health

Yadav outlined several key components of holistic health. These include physical health, fitness, and nutritious food. Positive social support and happy working conditions also play crucial roles. An overall positive atmosphere completes the picture. Akhilesh stressed that all these elements must align. Without harmony, efforts to improve medical conditions may lack a wholesome effect.

He distinguished between health services and medical services. Health represents a positive concept, while medicine serves as a curative measure. Focusing on holistic health can reduce illness rates. People will achieve better physical and emotional health. Negativity directly impacts health, according to Yadav.

Impact of Negativity and Environmental Factors

The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister noted increasing negativity in modern times. This negativity affects people's medical conditions. Microblogging sites often dispense such negativity. It influences not only individuals but also the social and political atmosphere.

Climate change and environmental issues exacerbate the situation. Akhilesh cited pollution in Delhi as an example. Contaminated drinking water in Indore, which has claimed lives, also relates directly to health. Holistic health encompasses all these aspects, he asserted.

Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes BJP's Temple Demolitions in Varanasi

Akhilesh Yadav launched a sharp critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party. He accused the BJP of demolishing more temples than any other ruler in history. Yadav made these remarks in response to recent incidents in Varanasi.

Alleged Desecration at Manikarnika Ghat

The controversy involves the alleged desecration of deity idols. It also includes the removal of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar's statue at Manikarnika Ghat. These actions occurred under the guise of redevelopment in Varanasi. Akhilesh Yadav condemned these acts as disrespectful to Sanatani and Kashi heritage.

He stated that no other ruler on earth has demolished as many temples as the BJP. Mythologically significant temples are being razed under the BJP government. Yadav accused BJP members of pursuing these actions for monetary gain. He claimed they show no regard for Varanasi, its people, or historical figures associated with the city.

Contrast with Saifai Temple Construction

Akhilesh highlighted a contrast with temple construction in Saifai. Local people are assisting in building a temple there. However, BJP members are creating obstacles, according to Yadav. He criticized the BJP for failing to preserve Kashi's traditional essence. They also did not transform it into the promised Kyoto-like city.

Yadav predicted that indestructible Kashi would lead to the BJP's defeat. He expressed confidence in the people's support against such actions.

Samajwadi Party to Approach Supreme Court Over Voter List Mismatch

Akhilesh Yadav announced another significant move on Saturday. The Samajwadi Party plans to approach the Supreme Court. They will challenge the mismatch in voter counts between two electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh.

Discrepancy in Voter Lists

According to the Samajwadi Party, the Election Commission of India's list shows 12.56 crore voters in UP. Meanwhile, the State Election Commission's list indicates 12.69 crore rural voters alone. Adding urban voters would push the total beyond 17 crore voters.

Yadav expressed concern over this discrepancy. He noted that both lists were prepared by the same booth-level officers and ground officials. This inconsistency raises questions about accuracy and transparency.

Legal Action for Clarity

Akhilesh Yadav stated he would direct the legal team to file a petition in the Supreme Court. The aim is to obtain clarity on which voter list is accurate. This step seeks to ensure fair electoral processes in Uttar Pradesh.

The Samajwadi Party has been vocal about this issue. They emphasize the need for reliable voter data to uphold democratic integrity.
