Amit Shah's Uttarayan Celebrations in Ahmedabad
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Ahmedabad for the Uttarayan festival. He plans to celebrate this vibrant kite-flying occasion with Bharatiya Janata Party workers across several locations in the city.
Festival Schedule and Locations
Shah will participate in Uttarayan festivities at three specific spots in the Naranpura and Nava Vadaj areas. This follows his established practice of joining party members and family for kite-flying whenever he visits Ahmedabad during this time.
In addition to the political gatherings, the minister has scheduled religious visits. He will offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple in Jamalpur and also visit a Gurudwara situated on the SG Highway in Thaltej.
Chief Minister's Participation
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also observe Uttarayan in Ahmedabad. He is expected to be present at Murji Parekh ni Pol, located in the Dariapur area of the city's historic walled section.
The Uttarayan festival, celebrated with great enthusiasm in Gujarat, sees the sky filled with colorful kites. This year's celebrations gain additional attention with prominent political figures participating in traditional events across Ahmedabad.
