Chief Minister Sarma detailed that Oil India Limited (OIL), a company with origins in Assam, achieved a historic milestone on March 26 by recording its highest-ever daily oil and gas production. The output reached an impressive 1,47,159 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), driven by aggressive operational strategies. This surge was powered by the drilling of 73 new wells, execution of 300 workovers, and enhanced operational efficiency across its various fields. Sarma emphasized that this achievement is not just a number but a testament to the state's robust energy infrastructure.
Decade-High Crude Oil Output and Broader Energy Momentum
Further elaborating on the success, Sarma highlighted that within this production, 80,060 barrels were crude oil, marking the highest daily crude output in the past decade.
