Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin arrived in Uttarakhand on Thursday for a three-day visit aimed at reviewing the party's organizational activities and strengthening its base in the state.
Visit Schedule
According to party sources, Nabin will hold meetings with state BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and state party president Mahendra Bhatt. He is also scheduled to address a public rally in Haridwar and interact with party workers in Dehradun.
Key Objectives
- Review preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
- Assess the implementation of central schemes in the state.
- Boost morale of party cadres ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The visit comes at a crucial time as the BJP aims to retain its stronghold in Uttarakhand, where it has been in power since 2017. Nabin's itinerary includes visits to several districts to gauge the ground situation and address local issues.
Speaking to reporters upon arrival, Nabin said the party is committed to the development of Uttarakhand and will continue to work for the welfare of its people. He also praised the state government for its efforts in infrastructure and tourism promotion.
This is Nabin's first visit to the state since assuming the role of BJP national president earlier this year. The party expects the visit to energize its workers and consolidate support for the upcoming electoral battles.
