BJP MLA Manda Mhatre Hospitalised Following Mild Cardiac Arrest in Navi Mumbai
In a concerning health incident, BJP MLA Manda Mhatre from the Belapur constituency in Navi Mumbai was hospitalised after suffering a mild cardiac arrest on Tuesday past midnight. The episode occurred at her bungalow in Agroli village, Belapur, where she experienced severe chest pain and breathlessness, prompting immediate medical attention.
Emergency Hospitalisation and Medical Procedures
Her son, Nilesh, rushed her to Apollo Hospital in CBD-Belapur around 2:30 am. Upon arrival at the emergency unit, she was admitted to the ICU, where an ECG report indicated abnormalities consistent with a mild cardiac arrest. Medical sources at the hospital confirmed that she underwent an angiography procedure, which diagnosed narrowed or blocked coronary arteries.
Following consent from her family, Manda Mhatre underwent an angioplasty with the placement of two stents to address the arterial issues. She was kept under observation for more than 24 hours post-procedure, and her health parameters are currently stable, according to hospital updates.

Nilesh Mhatre provided an update on his mother's condition, stating, "My mother's health is in good condition after the medical procedure, and she is under the care of a team of experienced surgeons at Apollo Hospital." The doctors have advised complete bed rest for several days, during which she will be monitored round-the-clock to ensure a smooth recovery.
In a gesture of support, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to MLA Mhatre via a video call to enquire about her health.
