BJP's Amit Malviya Launches Scathing Attack on TMC with '#PAY2TMC' Jibe
In a fiery pre-election assault, BJP's IT cell chief Amit Malviya on Wednesday unleashed a sharp critique against the Trinamool Congress, employing the hashtag '#PAY2TMC' and the term 'Tolabazi' to target the party over alleged corruption and cash-for-service politics. This verbal offensive comes just ahead of the crucial assembly polls in West Bengal, intensifying the political rhetoric in the state.
Digital Campaign and Allegations of Corruption
Malviya took to social media platform X to amplify his accusations, posting: "Mamata Banerjee's 'Tolabazi' now has a digital address: #PAY2TMC." This statement directly references the party's alleged culture of demanding payments for public services, framing it as a systematic issue that has permeated the state's governance.
He further claimed that wall posters in Kolkata are reflecting widespread public discontent, with slogans such as 'Ration Hok Ba Chakri… Scan Korun' exposing what he termed the "true nature" of the TMC government. "Kolkata's walls are echoing the absolute disgust of the masses. The posters stating, 'Ration Hok Ba Chakri… Scan Korun,' expose the true DNA of the TMC government, where every fundamental right comes with a 'cut-money' price tag," Malviya asserted in his post.
Expanding the Attack: 'Decade of Loot' and Systemic Issues
Broadening his critique, Malviya alleged extensive corruption under what he described as the "TMC's Decade of Loot," pointing to irregularities in key sectors. He specifically cited the School Service Commission recruitment process and the public distribution system as prime examples, accusing the ruling party of siphoning off merit-based opportunities and essential ration benefits through corrupt networks.
"The situation reflects deep public anger in West Bengal," Malviya stated, adding that "the writing is literally on the wall" and that the state's youth and impoverished communities have been "robbed blind" over the years. These allegations aim to paint a picture of systemic exploitation and mismanagement under TMC's rule.
Election Countdown and Call to Action
Escalating his rhetoric further, Malviya declared: "The countdown to the end of this corrupt, extortionist regime begins with Phase 1 tomorrow. Press the button to permanently log out the TMC!" This call to action is timed with the upcoming polling phases, as West Bengal prepares to vote in two stages on April 23 and April 29.
The BJP's aggressive stance highlights the high stakes of the assembly elections, with corruption allegations taking center stage in the political discourse. As the state heads to the polls, such attacks are expected to shape voter perceptions and influence the electoral outcome.
