Congress leader challenges CJP to compare Modi, Congress rule

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president T Jagga Reddy on Saturday challenged the online sensation Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and its supporters, who have amassed 18 million followers on social media, to compare the 11-year rule of the Modi government with the Congress party's governance since Jawaharlal Nehru.

CJP and Technology

Reddy noted that the CJP was born on social media, leveraging modern technology. He reminded that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is regarded as the architect of modern technology in India, especially in IT and telecom. He urged the CJP to support and join hands with Rahul Gandhi if they truly want to protect the country.

Constitution Under Threat

“Only the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi can protect the Constitution, which is under threat now. Rahul Gandhi has been warning the people to protect the Constitution. Like the body armor of Karna, the Constitution is a shield for the people of the country. As long as the armor is there, there is no danger to the country,” Jagga Reddy told media at Gandhi Bhavan.

Allegations Against BJP

The Congress leader alleged that the BJP wins elections by exploiting religion, using the names of Gods, and through fake votes. “If not Lord Rama, they use the name of Lord Krishna to win elections. People should realize the deception of the BJP. People benefit only if they vote freely without any pressures or influences,” he said. He added that he personally performs Srirama Kalyanam every year in a grand manner for over two decades but never used Lord Rama's name to seek votes in his assembly constituency Sangareddy.

Economic Criticism

Jagga Reddy dismissed the development claims of the BJP at the Centre. He pointed out that before the BJP came to power, the national debt was just Rs 54 lakh crore, which has now risen to Rs 147 lakh crore. He urged the people to take note of this increase.

Future Vision

The TPCC working president expressed confidence that Rahul Gandhi would become prime minister by winning 300 seats, asserting that the Congress party is the only saviour of the country and the Constitution.
