Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth visited the Pangode Military Station in Thiruvananthapuram and engaged with officers and soldiers stationed there. The event saw participation from Brigadier Anurag Upadhyay, Station Commander, along with commanding officers and soldiers from the Madras Regiment and Garhwal Regiment.
Minister Highlights National Pride and Security
Addressing the troops, Minister Seth underscored that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has significantly elevated the nation's pride. He reiterated the government's unwavering commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. The minister also emphasized that the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) would be implemented across all sectors, including defence production, to bolster indigenous capabilities.
Vision for Viksit Bharat by 2047
Seth stated that the country is striving to realize the Prime Minister's vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047. He highlighted the crucial role of the armed forces during natural disasters, noting that their services reflect an unwavering commitment to the nation. The minister praised Pangode Military Station as an inspiring formation, given its unique defence capabilities on both land and water.
Commitment to Improved Resources and Training
The minister assured the soldiers that they would be provided with enhanced resources and superior training facilities. This initiative aims to empower them to perform their duties for the nation more effectively, ensuring they remain prepared for any challenge.
