A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 23-year-old e-rickshaw driver in Bhopal on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred on the Jagdishpur-Eintkhedi road when a speeding loading pickup vehicle allegedly rammed into the e-rickshaw from behind.

Victim Identified

The deceased was identified as Moin Khan, a resident of Jagdishpur village. He earned his livelihood by driving an e-rickshaw. On Tuesday around 5.30 pm, he was heading from Jagdishpur towards Berasia Road in the Eintkhedi area in search of passengers.

Accident Details

Police reported that approximately four kilometers from his home, near Jagdishpur village, a loading pickup vehicle came from behind and struck the e-rickshaw. The pickup was being driven rashly and negligently. The impact caused the e-rickshaw to overturn, and Moin sustained severe head injuries along with multiple body injuries.

A relative, who was traveling behind him on a motorcycle, witnessed the entire incident and immediately informed family members. Relatives rushed to the spot and took Moin to a hospital, where doctors examined him and declared him dead upon arrival.

Authorities have seized the loading pickup vehicle involved in the accident. An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the collision.
