Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's Comprehensive Day-Long Outreach
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini embarked on an extensive day-long schedule on Friday, seamlessly blending religious tributes, cultural engagements, and developmental initiatives across Punjab and Haryana. The Chief Minister's itinerary was marked by significant policy announcements aimed at fostering social reform, enhancing farmer welfare, reviving cultural heritage, and stimulating industrial growth.
Commemorative Programme at Sri Bhaini Sahib
The day commenced with CM Saini attending a grand commemorative programme at Sri Bhaini Sahib in Samrala, located in Ludhiana district of Punjab. This event was organized to honor the birth anniversary of Satguru Ram Singh Ji Maharaj, a revered saint and social reformer whose legacy continues to inspire millions.
In his address, Chief Minister Saini paid heartfelt tributes to Satguru Ram Singh Ji, describing him as a visionary who masterfully linked spirituality with social reform and national service. "His teachings remain a beacon, inspiring a development model deeply rooted in moral values, humanity, and national interest," Saini emphasized. He also acknowledged the selfless sacrifices of the Namdhari Sikhs, stating that their contributions are forever etched in the nation's collective memory.
Responding to a demand from the organizing committee, CM Saini announced that the Haryana government would take steps, following due consultation, to establish a chair in the name of Satguru Ram Singh Ji Maharaj. This initiative aims to perpetuate the saint's teachings and promote scholarly research on his life and work.
Furthermore, Saini paid homage to the Namdhari Sikhs who sacrificed their lives during the Kuka Movement, highlighting it as a pioneering chapter of India's freedom struggle. "The Kuka Movement promoted principles of non-cooperation, swadeshi, and self-reliance long before these ideas became integral to the mainstream national movement," he noted, underscoring its historical significance.
Policy Announcements and Criticisms
Later in the day, while interacting with the media, Chief Minister Saini did not shy away from political commentary. He criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, alleging that it had failed to fulfil its promises and misled the people over the past four years. In contrast, he highlighted the welfare initiatives implemented in Haryana under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Schemes such as the Old Age Samman Allowance and Ayushman Bharat exemplify our commitment to grassroots development," Saini stated. He urged the people of Punjab to choose a government that delivers tangible results on the ground, emphasizing the importance of effective governance.
Cultural and Developmental Engagements in Haryana
Earlier in Kurukshetra, CM Saini attended Basant Panchami celebrations at the International Jat Dharamshala. During this event, he paid floral tributes to Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, honoring their contributions to India's progress. On this occasion, he announced a generous grant of Rs 31 lakh for the International Jat Dharamshala, supporting its cultural and community activities.
Emphasizing the government's focus on farmer empowerment, Saini reiterated that protecting agricultural land, ensuring fair prices for produce, and safeguarding farmers' dignity remain core priorities of the double-engine government. "Our initiatives are designed to uplift the agricultural community and ensure their prosperity," he affirmed.
Revival of Saraswati River and Infrastructure Projects
The Chief Minister also attended the closing ceremony of Saraswati Mahotsav 2026 at Pehowa, where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 26 projects worth Rs 63.86 crore. These projects are specifically related to the revival of the Saraswati river, a symbol of India's civilisational unity.
"The Saraswati river represents our rich heritage, and we are committed to restoring its historic identity," Saini declared. He added that the government is collaborating with leading scientific institutions to develop Saraswati Teerths along a national pilgrimage circuit, promoting cultural tourism and spiritual rejuvenation.
Vision for Smart Agriculture and Industrial Zones
Earlier in the day, CM Saini unveiled ambitious plans to develop Smart Agriculture and Smart Industrial Zones in Haryana. These zones will offer modern infrastructure and special incentives to farmers and industrialists, aiming to boost productivity and economic growth.
"These initiatives reflect our vision of integrating tradition with technology to ensure inclusive and sustainable development," Saini explained. By leveraging technological advancements, the government seeks to create a robust ecosystem that supports both agricultural and industrial sectors, fostering overall prosperity in the state.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's day-long outreach exemplifies a holistic approach to governance, where cultural reverence, social welfare, and economic development converge. Through these multifaceted engagements, he aims to strengthen community bonds, promote heritage conservation, and drive progressive policies for the benefit of all residents in Haryana and beyond.
