Revenue minister and Hassan district minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Thursday stated that children who excel in academics are the pride of their families and have brought glory to Hassan district. He made these remarks while inaugurating 'Hassan Hemme', a felicitation program for SSLC and PUC toppers organized by the district administration, Zilla Panchayat, and education department at Hasanamba Kala Bhavana.
Minister's Address
The minister thanked the students for their effort and hard work and noted that Hassan secured the fourth position in the state in SSLC results. He emphasized that students' success brings joy and respect to parents and motivates future batches. 'Children are the asset of the society. Hard work is key to realizing dreams. You can earn and lose wealth, but education and knowledge stay with you till your last breath. Education gives you the strength to stand on your own feet and face challenges,' he said.
According to the minister, hard work is the only formula for success. Those who toil reach their goals. 'We are responsible for our wins and losses. With determination, success follows,' he added. He urged Morarji Desai residential schools and aided schools to focus more on improving results.
Other Dignitaries' Remarks
MP Shreyas M Patel remarked, 'Only education can help achieve goals. Follow BR Ambedkar, who proved anything is possible through education.' Senior Congress MLA and housing board chairman KM Shivalinge Gowda said encouraging toppers is important to inspire others. 'Education is crucial to work globally. Government schools need support. Providing infrastructure to economically backward students is our duty. KPS schools are a step to build a foundation for farmers' and workers' children,' he said, stressing the need to learn English for global opportunities.
MLAs Swaroop Prakash, HK Suresh, HUDA chairman Patel Shivappa, DC KS Latha Kumari, SP Shubhanwita, and others were present at the event.
