The IMD has issued a set of guidelines for people to cope with the heatwave. These include:

  • Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
  • Avoid going out during the hottest part of the day (12:00 PM to 4:00 PM).

Weather Forecast for the Week

The IMD has forecast that the heatwave conditions will continue for the next few days, with no significant relief expected until the weekend. However, there is a possibility of light rainfall in some parts of the country, which may provide temporary respite. The meteorological department continues to monitor the situation and will issue updates as necessary.

Authorities have been placed on high alert, and hospitals have been advised to prepare for a potential increase in heat-related cases. The government has also urged people to check on their neighbors and relatives, especially those living alone or without access to cooling facilities.
