Jharkhand Districts Commemorate Republic Day with Patriotic Zeal and Development Focus
Various districts across Jharkhand, including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Hazaribag, Ramgarh, and Chatra, organized diverse programs on Monday to mark the 77th Republic Day with immense patriotic fervor. The celebrations were characterized by flag hoisting ceremonies, parades, and speeches that underscored the state's commitment to national progress and social upliftment.
East Singhbhum: Honoring Martyrs and Tribal Leaders
In East Singhbhum, the Republic Day was observed with both joy and solemnity by numerous entities. At the government program held at Gopal Maidan, District Commissioner Karn Satyarthi delivered a speech praising the sacrifices of the state's martyrs. The administration also paid tribute to the late veteran statehood leader Shibu Soren, who was posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan for his significant contributions to tribal upliftment, highlighting his enduring legacy in Jharkhand's social fabric.
Corporate Participation and Viksit Bharat Vision
At Tata Steel, the flag hoisting ceremony took place at the Tata Motors office, where Vice President of Corporate Services, D B Sundara Ramam, addressed attendees. He emphasized Tata Steel's unwavering commitment to being a partner in India's journey towards a Viksit Bharat, aligning with the national vision of transforming into a developed nation by 2047. This reflects the corporate sector's active role in supporting the country's developmental aspirations.
Hazaribag and Chatra: Impressive Parades and Operational Achievements
In Hazaribag district, District Commissioner Shashi Prakash Singh hoisted the tricolour at the Hazaribag stadium. The event featured an impressive parade presented by the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), District Armed Police, and National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets, showcasing the discipline and dedication of security forces.
At the North Karanpura plant of NTPC in Chatra district, Project Head Alok Kumar Tripathi unfurled the national flag. In his address to employees and stakeholders, he announced that the plant has achieved its highest-ever power generation, attributing this milestone to improved operational efficiency and teamwork. Tripathi also highlighted the public sector undertaking's focus on community welfare through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, underscoring a holistic approach to development.
Ramgarh and Ranchi: Employee Promotions and Exploration Milestones
In the Rajrappa area of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) in Ramgarh district, the Republic Day ceremony included the handing over of promotion letters to employees following the formal flag hoisting. Rajiv Singh, General Manager of the Rajrappa area, stated that a total of 15 employees received promotion letters, recognizing their contributions. Additionally, Ramgarh District Commissioner Faiz Aq Ahmad Mumtaz unfurled the national flag at the Sidhu Kanhu ground in Ramgarh, further emphasizing the district's participation in the celebrations.
At the headquarters of Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI) in Ranchi, Chairman and Managing Director Chaudhari Shivraj Singh hoisted the national flag. In his address, Singh provided detailed insights into the institute's performance, noting that against a target of 11 lakh metres of drilling for the financial year 2025-26, CMPDI has completed 7.56 lakh metres as of December 2025, with 2.87 lakh metres achieved through departmental resources. He also mentioned that against a departmental target of 450-line kilometre 2D/3D seismic survey, 207-line kilometre seismic survey has been accomplished till December 2025.
Singh further added that CMPDI, operating in the non-coal sector, has successfully completed exploration work in one base metal and one bauxite block in Jharkhand, marking significant progress in the state's mineral exploration efforts and contributing to broader economic development.
