AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led central government over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy, which led to the cancellation of the exam by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Kejriwal's Accusations
“Since the Modi government came to power in 2014, there have been 93 instances of exam paper leaks. This affected 6 crore youth,” Kejriwal said, highlighting the scale of the issue.
He questioned the efficacy of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter and invoked the Gen-Z movements in Nepal and Bangladesh, which successfully demanded accountability from their governments. “Should this continue? Can’t our Gen-Z send ministers involved in paper leak incidents to jail?” he asked.
Context and Reactions
The NEET-UG 2026 exam was cancelled after a major paper leak, causing widespread distress among students. Kejriwal’s remarks come amid growing demands for stricter measures to prevent such incidents.
The AAP leader’s statement has sparked political debate, with the BJP dismissing his allegations as baseless. However, the issue of exam paper leaks has been a recurring concern, affecting millions of students across the country.
