Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha election from Karnataka. The veteran leader submitted his papers at the office of the Returning Officer in Bengaluru, accompanied by senior party leaders and supporters.

The Congress party has fielded three candidates for the Rajya Sabha seats from Karnataka. Along with Kharge, the party has nominated national spokesperson Pawan Khera and senior leader Mansoor Ali Khan. The election is scheduled to be held later this month.
