The monsoon session of the Maharashtra state legislature is scheduled to take place in Mumbai from June 22 to July 10. This decision was finalized during a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council held on Monday.
No Opposition Leader Expected
It is anticipated that there will be no leader of the opposition in either the Assembly or the Council during the monsoon session. The legislature has not yet taken any decision on the letters from the Shiv Sena (UBT) seeking the post in the Assembly and from the Congress for the Council.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including Chairman of the Legislative Council Ram Shinde, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Rahul Narvekar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, Deputy Speaker Anna Bansode, Minister for Higher and Technical Education and Parliamentary Affairs Chandrakant Patil, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Chhagan Bhujbal, MLAs Sudhir Mungantiwar, Deepak Kesarkar, Nana Patole, and Jayant Patil, MLCs Neelam Gorhe, Anil Parab, Prasad Lad, Hemant Patil, Praveen Darekar, Vikram Kale, and Satej Patil, as well as Secretary of the Legislature Jitendra Bhole and senior officials.
