Manoj Tiwari's Impromptu New Year Eve Celebration in Delhi

In a move that delighted his constituents, Bharatiya Janata Party MP from North East Delhi and popular Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari made a swift, unexpected return to the national capital to ring in the New Year with his supporters. The politician cut short an official visit to Gujarat to host an impromptu celebration at his official residence.

A Dash from Jamnagar to Delhi

Manoj Tiwari was part of a VIP contingent visiting the Vantara initiative in Jamnagar, Gujarat. However, as the clock ticked down to New Year's Eve, he received multiple calls urging his return to Delhi. Not wanting to disappoint the people who back him, Tiwari acted quickly. He boarded the first available flight and managed to reach his home in the Capital by approximately 10:30 PM.

By the time he arrived, a crowd of around 1,000 guests had already gathered, eager to celebrate with their leader. Demonstrating his characteristic energy, Tiwari took to the stage almost immediately upon his arrival.

Stage Lights and Patriotic Notes

The celebration kicked off on a patriotic note, with Tiwari leading the assembled crowd in a rousing rendition of Vande Mataram. Following this, the Bhojpuri superstar transitioned to entertaining his guests with a performance of his biggest musical hits, ensuring the party atmosphere was in full swing as the new year began.

Other Political Developments

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is embracing technology to improve governance, following the path of the Environment Ministry. It is leveraging the Smart India Hackathon to develop a dedicated web portal for the Forest Rights Act. This portal aims to track the implementation and monitoring of rights granted under this landmark legislation. As part of this project, hackathon participants visited villages in Nashik to interact with gram sabhas and observe firsthand how data on forest rights is collected.

In a separate incident in Uttar Pradesh, the state Congress unit took inspired by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. On Friday, in Ghaziabad's Shalimar Garden area, party leaders including AICC secretary Shahnawaz Alam distributed roses and copies of the Preamble to the Constitution. This act was a direct response to the Hindu Raksha Dal's distribution of swords in the same locality just three days prior. The Congress leaders had initially planned only a rose distribution to "send a message against hate with love," but later decided to add a "constitutional touch" to their peaceful demonstration.
