BJP President Nitin Nabin Urges Party Workers to Prepare for 2027 UP Assembly Polls
Nitin Nabin Asks BJP Workers to Gear Up for 2027 UP Elections

In his inaugural visit to Uttar Pradesh after assuming the role of BJP national president, Nitin Nabin on Sunday delivered a clarion call to party workers, urging them to prepare vigorously for the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled for early 2027. Speaking in Agra, Nabin emphasized that forces opposed to the state's developmental progress would likely intensify their efforts as the polls draw nearer, making it imperative for the BJP to remain vigilant and proactive.

Addressing Party Workers in Agra

Addressing a gathering of dedicated party workers, Nabin highlighted the presence of divisive forces within the country that consistently aim to fragment national unity. He asserted, "Today, in this country, there are also forces at work that always believe in dividing and tearing this country apart. We must fight against those forces as well. As soon as elections arrive, these forces come alive; these forces invoke the Constitution, even though they tore the Constitution to shreds."

Nabin stressed the importance of unity and resilience, urging workers to "gird up your loins" in anticipation of the 2027 elections. He pointed out that the rapid development trajectory of Uttar Pradesh under the current administration is something that opposing factions cannot tolerate, hence the need for heightened preparedness.

Spiritual and Developmental Tour

Earlier in the day, Nabin, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, embarked on a spiritual and developmental tour across the region. Their itinerary included a visit to the Shri Vrindavan Chandrodaya Temple on Vrindavan Marg, where they participated in listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme. Following this, they attended an event at Akshay Patra in Vrindavan, showcasing the government's commitment to social welfare initiatives.

The duo, along with local BJP MLAs and leaders, also paid their respects at the Shri Banke Bihari Temple, underscoring the cultural and religious significance of the area. This visit not only reinforced the party's connection with spiritual heritage but also highlighted its engagement with local communities.

Infrastructure Praise in Mathura

Speaking at a gathering in Mathura, where he shared the stage with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary, Nabin lauded the state's infrastructure advancements. He remarked that the roads he traveled on en route to Mathura were "better than those seen abroad," attributing this transformation to the proactive policies implemented under the current leadership.

Nabin credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steering the development agenda, emphasizing that the poor and marginalized sections of society remain the focal point of government policies. His journey from Delhi to Mathura via the Yamuna Expressway was met with a rousing welcome by BJP workers at Bajna Cut in the Mant area, reflecting the party's grassroots support.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Remarks

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed pride in Nabin's visit to the "sacred land of Braj," describing it as a moment of honor for party workers. He highlighted Nabin's youthful energy and dynamism, noting his extensive political experience as a five-time member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and his various organizational roles within the BJP.

Yogi Adityanath elaborated on the spiritual significance of the Braj region, stating, "Places such as Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, Gokul, Govardhan, Nandgaon and Baldev have inspired followers of Sanatan Dharma for thousands of years." He also mentioned Mathura's historical importance as the birthplace of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, the proponent of Antyodaya, further connecting the visit to ideological roots.

Uttar Pradesh's Economic Transformation

The Chief Minister underscored Uttar Pradesh's remarkable economic turnaround, shedding its earlier 'BIMARU' tag to emerge as a robust pillar of the Indian economy. He detailed the state's achievements, including maintaining a revenue-surplus status for over five years and executing major infrastructure projects at an accelerated pace.

Yogi Adityanath emphasized the effectiveness of the double-engine government in strengthening law and order, ensuring citizen security, and delivering welfare schemes transparently and without discrimination. This comprehensive approach, he argued, has been instrumental in driving the state's development and positioning it for future growth.

Nitin Nabin's visit to Uttar Pradesh not only served as a strategic mobilization effort ahead of the 2027 elections but also reinforced the BJP's commitment to development, spirituality, and inclusive governance. By engaging with workers and highlighting infrastructural and economic progress, the party aims to consolidate its support base and counter opposition narratives effectively.
