Candace Owens Mocks Turning Point USA Over Legal Threat to YouTuber
Political commentator Candace Owens has launched another public attack against Turning Point USA. This latest controversy centers on a legal warning the conservative organization sent to a YouTube creator.
YouTuber Claims Legal Pressure Over Drone Questions
On Sunday, January 18, finance YouTuber Zach De Gregorio made serious allegations. He claimed that Turning Point USA sent him a cease and desist letter. De Gregorio runs the popular Wolves and Finance channel on YouTube.
The legal warning came after De Gregorio raised questions about the group's financial practices. He also questioned their use of drones at a recent event. According to the YouTuber, TPUSA accused him of making false and damaging statements.
Conflicting Accounts About Drone Use
De Gregorio pointed to contradictory statements about drone activity. He referenced comments from Frank Turek, who told Megyn Kelly that drones were present at the Utah Valley University event.
Meanwhile, Brian Harpole offered a different version. Harpole heads security for Charlie Kirk and spoke on a podcast. He claimed drones were not permitted because the university sits close to an airport.
An X user later supported De Gregorio's concerns about these conflicting accounts. This post caught the attention of Candace Owens, who responded with sharp criticism.
Owens Calls Legal Move a "Terrible Idea"
Candace Owens did not hold back in her response. She took to X to express her disapproval of TPUSA's legal strategy.
"Difficult to put into words how terrible of an idea it was for Turning Point USA to send out this Cease and Desist letter," Owens wrote in her post.
She questioned why the organization would choose legal action instead of remaining silent. Owens suggested this approach only amplified the controversy.
Owens Offers Consulting Services to TPUSA
In a follow-up post, Owens made a surprising offer. She proposed her consulting services to help Turning Point USA improve their public relations strategy.
"I again offer my consulting services to TPUSA. For a monthly retainer, we can end this corporate show," she wrote.
Owens mocked what she called repeated public relations mistakes by the organization. She suggested someone within TPUSA might be feeding bad advice to Erika Kirk.
History of Criticism From Owens
This is not the first time Candace Owens has criticized Turning Point USA. She has targeted the organization multiple times since Charlie Kirk's death.
On her popular podcast, Owens mocked TPUSA's response to claims involving Fort Huachuca. She questioned messages sent by Andrew Kolvet, the organization's spokesperson.
Owens claimed the responses appeared rushed and poorly planned. She also stated that a third party confirmed Erika Kirk was seen near the military base before Kirk's death.
No Public Response From TPUSA
Turning Point USA has remained silent about these latest developments. The organization has not responded publicly to Owens' critical remarks.
TPUSA has also not addressed Zach De Gregorio's allegations about the cease and desist letter. The lack of response has fueled further discussion across social media platforms.
This controversy highlights ongoing tensions within conservative circles. It also shows how legal threats can sometimes backfire and create more public scrutiny.
The situation continues to develop as more people weigh in on both sides. Many are watching to see if Turning Point USA will eventually respond to these criticisms.
