Patna Governor Leads Grand Veterans' Day Rally in Danapur

Governor Arif Mohammed Khan inaugurated a grand Veterans' Day rally at the Bihar Regiment Centre ground in Danapur Cantonment on Wednesday. He paid heartfelt tributes to the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering service of soldiers and veterans from the Indian Armed Forces.

Patriotic Gathering Honors Military Heroes

The event at Kalinga Stadium brought together approximately 2,000 veterans and Veer Naris. Senior army officers, representatives of the Bihar state government, and officials from the Danapur army area attended the occasion. The atmosphere remained charged with patriotism and pride throughout the rally.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Governor Khan lauded the armed forces for sacrificing personal comforts and, in many cases, their lives for national protection. He stated the country remains eternally grateful to its soldiers and veterans who have safeguarded sovereignty and integrity under challenging circumstances.

Governor Praises Soldiers' Unity and Dedication

"Our soldiers rise above family, caste, and religion to stand as the strongest pillar of the nation's security," Khan declared. "Their courage, discipline, and sense of duty inspire generations and remind us of the true meaning of service to the motherland."

As part of the function, organizers presented four disabled soldiers with modified electric scooters. They also felicitated twenty Veer Naris with a token amount of Rs 21,000 each.

Senior Military Leaders Recognize Veterans' Contributions

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command, Lieutenant General Anindya Sen Gupta presented medals to several war veterans. He reiterated the role and importance of veterans in nation-building efforts.

Other senior officers present included Lieutenant General P S Shekhawat and Major General Vikas Bhardwaj, GOC Jharkhand & Bihar Sub Area. Several high-ranking military officials joined them at the rally.

Memorial Tributes and Patriotic Conclusion

Earlier in the day, participants paid rich tributes at the war memorial. Army officers laid wreaths to honor brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. A Bihar Regiment Centre official confirmed these details.

The rally concluded on a patriotic note with the BRC band playing the National Anthem. The ceremony left attendees with a renewed appreciation for military service and sacrifice.
