PM Modi Schedules Two-Day Assam Visit Starting January 17
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Assam on January 17. He plans to spend two full days in the northeastern state. During this visit, Modi will officially launch several key infrastructure projects.
Major Projects Set for Inauguration
The Prime Minister will unveil new trains during his trip. He will also inaugurate the much-anticipated Kaziranga elevated corridor. This corridor aims to improve connectivity and protect wildlife in the famous Kaziranga National Park area.
This visit follows Modi's previous trip to Assam in December. On that occasion, he inaugurated the new terminal at Guwahati International Airport. He also unveiled a statue of Gopinath Bardaloi, Assam's first Chief Minister. The airport now bears Bardaloi's name in his honor.
Focus on Infrastructure Development
Modi's upcoming visit underscores the central government's continued focus on Assam's development. The new trains and elevated corridor represent significant investments in the state's transportation network.
Local officials are preparing for the Prime Minister's arrival. Security arrangements are being finalized across the state. Residents eagerly await the project launches, which promise to boost economic activity and tourism.
The detailed schedule for Modi's visit will be released soon. Expect more announcements regarding specific train routes and corridor features as the inauguration date approaches.
