Radhika Mishra, daughter of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, joined family members at a prayer meet held at BJ Medical College on Friday morning. Rupani was among the 260 people killed when the London-bound Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed moments after take-off on June 12 last year.
Tree Plantation Drive
Mishra also participated in a tree plantation drive on the campus. She stated that her family was paying tribute to all victims of the disaster. “My father had started several initiatives for the service of society, which continue today,” she said. “We are touched by the feelings and love of people for him and hope to continue his legacy.”
Compensation Waiver Issue
She declined to comment on her family’s correspondence with Air India regarding the compensation claim waiver, noting that it was a matter between the family and the airline.
