Rahul Gandhi has made a strong political pitch claiming that only the Congress party can defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in future elections. During a speech in Gurugram, the Congress MP described the current political climate as an ideological battle between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Congress.
Explosive Allegations Against PM Modi
The controversy intensified after Gandhi made explosive allegations involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former US President Donald Trump, and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He claimed that sensitive information related to Modi exists in '3.5 lakh Epstein files' in the United States and alleged that recent India-US agreements were signed under American pressure.
Political Fallout Expected
The remarks are expected to trigger a sharp political response from the BJP. Political analysts suggest that Gandhi's statements could further polarize the already charged political environment. The Congress party has not yet issued an official clarification on the veracity of the claims made by its leader.
Gandhi's speech comes at a time when the opposition is seeking to consolidate anti-BJP votes ahead of upcoming elections. He emphasized that only Congress has the organizational strength and ideological commitment to challenge the ruling party. The BJP, however, has dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated.
