Jhunjhunu: Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra on Tuesday condemned Rajasthan BJP in-charge Radha Mohan Das Agrawal's remarks against former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, calling them "condemnable" and demanding a public apology.
Dotasra's Criticism of BJP Leadership
Dotasra said the "frustration" of those making such statements was evident. "When crowds do not gather at rallies and there are no answers on political issues, some leaders resort to baseless statements," he said, adding that rude language and personal remarks have no place in democratic politics.
He also targeted the BJP, alleging a lack of coordination between its state and central leadership. He claimed the state leadership does not have the freedom to take decisions and that many leaders are engaged in "politics of pretence."
Questions on Democratic Institutions
Referring to the political atmosphere in West Bengal, Dotasra questioned the impartiality of the Election Commission and said democratic institutions should function fairly and independently.
He said democratic values were being weakened in the country and the state, and claimed the public would "settle accounts" for arrogance, rude statements and anti-people policies in the upcoming elections.
