RSS Reports Significant Organisational Growth During Centenary Year

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Friday unveiled fresh data highlighting its expanding organisational footprint across India. The figures were presented as part of the annual report placed before the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, the top decision-making body of the organisation, during its meeting at Samalkha in Haryana.

Substantial Increase in Daily Shakhas and Locations

The RSS reported that the number of daily shakhas has risen from 83,129 to 88,949 within a year, marking a significant increase in its regular activities. Furthermore, the organisation's presence has expanded to 55,683 locations nationwide. This growth reflects what RSS officials describe as a simultaneous push for organisational expansion and broader social outreach during its centenary year.

RSS functionary C R Mukund explained that the centenary-year programmes, which began in October 2025, have been strategically designed around two primary objectives. "The first is expanding the organisation's reach, and the second is strengthening engagement with society," he stated. "The overarching effort is to bring together constructive forces in society and create an environment conducive to positive social change."

Grih Sampark Abhiyan: A Door-to-Door Outreach Campaign

A key component of this extensive outreach has been the ongoing Grih Sampark Abhiyan, a nationwide door-to-door campaign aimed at interacting with families across the country. According to the data presented, RSS volunteers have already contacted more than 10 crore households in over three lakh villages. The campaign is reportedly continuing in several states, demonstrating the organisation's commitment to grassroots connectivity.

Mukund highlighted Kerala as a notable example of the campaign's outreach across diverse communities. He revealed that in the state, volunteers visited over 55,000 Muslim households and more than 54,000 Christian families, receiving what he described as a "positive response" from these interactions.

Additional Activities and Hindu Conferences

In addition to the household contacts, the RSS also reported organising over 36,000 Hindu conferences across various regions, including urban, rural, and tribal areas. These conferences are part of the broader strategy to foster community engagement and dialogue.

The presentation of these figures underscores the RSS's focus on both quantitative growth and qualitative social impact as it marks its centenary year. The organisation's leadership views this period as crucial for consolidating its presence and influence across India's diverse social landscape.
