School Bus-Truck Collision in Kanpur Injures Two Kids

A school bus carrying 40 children collided head-on with a truck on the Kanpur-Jhansi highway in Kanpur Dehat on Wednesday, leaving two children with minor injuries.

Accident Details

The accident occurred in front of Mawar Cut when a bus belonging to Green Valley School was on its way to drop children off in nearby villages, and was hit by an oncoming truck while taking a turn.

Minister's Intervention

State prison minister Dara Singh Chauhan, who was traveling towards Jhansi with his convoy, stopped at the accident site and helped rush the injured children to the hospital. He also issued instructions for immediate action in the matter.

Police Statement

Bhognipur Kotwali inspector Satish Kumar Singh said that the truck was taken into custody. He confirmed that only two children suffered minor wounds and were discharged after first aid. All other children were safe and were sent home.
