Six Juveniles Escape from Rewa Observation Home

Bhopal: In a security breach at a juvenile home in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, six juvenile offenders escaped after breaking a bathroom glass window, prompting an extensive search operation by police and administration officials. The incident occurred at the observation home under Saman police station limits.

Escape Discovered During Routine Check

Authorities reported that the inmates were found missing during a routine headcount on Tuesday. Staff members subsequently discovered the broken bathroom window, indicating the escape route. Police teams have been deployed to comb nearby areas and possible hideouts.

The escaped juveniles were lodged at the facility for various criminal cases, including murder, theft, and other offenses. According to Saman police station in-charge Vijay Singh, all the juveniles are aged between 15 and 16 years and belong to nearby districts. One of them is accused of murder. Singh expressed hope that the juveniles would be apprehended soon.

Police Response and Investigation

Alerts regarding the escape have been circulated to nearby police stations and district units. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and other available evidence as part of the ongoing probe. Further investigation is underway to determine how the juveniles managed to break the window and flee without detection. Authorities are also reviewing security protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.
