“We have launched the Indiramma Kutumba Jeevitha Bima Pathakam, providing free life insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh to 1.15 crore families in the state, irrespective of their economic status,” he said. The scheme would offer crucial financial support to families during times of crisis, particularly in the event of the death of the sole breadwinner, he added. Bhatti also said the government was working towards generating 20,000 MW of renewable energy and attracting investments worth ₹2 lakh crore by 2030.

Irrigation Minister on Fine Rice Distribution

At a programme in Suryapet district, Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy described the fine-rice distribution programme as a landmark welfare initiative unmatched elsewhere in the country. “Nearly 3.2 crore people, accounting for about 85% of Telangana’s population, are receiving quality fine rice free of cost under the scheme. It has restored dignity to poor families by providing them with the same quality rice consumed by affluent sections,” he said.
