Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday. This will be Vijay's first visit to the national capital since he assumed office on May 10 after his party secured a victory in the state assembly elections.

Vijay will fly to Delhi in a special aircraft on Wednesday morning. Government sources confirmed that the meeting with Prime Minister Modi is a courtesy call, scheduled for 4:30 PM. As of now, only the meetings with the Prime Minister and the Home Minister have been confirmed, according to a senior official.
The Chief Minister may extend his stay in Delhi to meet with allies on the following day. Speculation has emerged that he might also meet Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. However, a senior Congress leader stated, 'Nothing is confirmed as of now.'
Political Background
Vijay became Chief Minister after his party won 108 of the 234 assembly seats in the Tamil Nadu elections. He successfully won a confidence motion with the support of former DMK allies, including Congress (5 MLAs), VCK (2), CPI (2), CPM (2), and IUML (2), as well as 25 rebel AIADMK MLAs. These allies subsequently joined the TVK cabinet last week.
