The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is planning to host the upcoming All India Congress Committee (AICC) national OBC advisory council meeting in Hyderabad. TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud met AICC leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on Thursday to request that the meeting be held in Hyderabad, to which Gandhi reportedly responded positively.
Key Discussions During the Meeting
During the meeting, Goud requested Gandhi to include the issue of BC (Backward Classes) quota in the women's reservation bill. Both leaders are said to have discussed the appointment of District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents, as well as mandal and district committees.
Strengthening Party Organization
The discussions also focused on strengthening the party's organizational structure at the grassroots level. The appointment of DCC presidents and the formation of mandal and district committees are crucial steps in preparing the party for upcoming elections.
The TPCC's initiative to host the AICC OBC advisory council meeting in Hyderabad underscores the party's commitment to addressing the concerns of backward classes in Telangana. The positive response from Rahul Gandhi indicates a collaborative approach within the party to address key issues.
