CHENNAI: As counting progressed for the 234 Tamil Nadu Assembly seats, early trends showed a strong performance by Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) led by actor-politician Vijay, with the party emerging as a major force across multiple regions.

According to Election Commission updates during the day, TVK was leading in over 100 constituencies at various stages of counting, briefly emerging as the single largest party ahead of both DMK and AIADMK in early trends. While counting is still underway in several constituencies, a few winners have been officially declared in early rounds.

- Anna Nagar (21): V.K. Ramkumar won with 71,375 votes, a margin of 21,363 votes.
- Thanjavur (174): R. Vijayasaravanan won with 87,705 votes, a margin of 16,955 votes.
