In the Erode West constituency, after four rounds of vote counting, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) candidate K K Ananth Moghan has taken a commanding lead with 16,547 votes. The DMK candidate, S. Muthusamy, who serves as the state's housing and urban development minister and also handles excise and prohibition portfolios, is in second place with 12,868 votes. He trails Moghan by a margin of 3,679 votes. The Tamil Manila Congress candidate, M Yuvaraja, is currently in third place with 5,933 votes.
