The Delhi Police have successfully cracked the murder case of a young man in the Shalimar Bagh area, making arrests within 24 hours of the incident, an official confirmed on Saturday.
Incident and Investigation
According to the police, they received information on the night of June 4-5 about a youth who had been admitted to Fortis Hospital with stab wounds. The injuries were sustained during a quarrel near BC Block in Shalimar Bagh. Acting on a complaint, the police registered a case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and immediately launched an investigation.
The accused have been identified as Saurabh, also known as Tola, and Sachin, alias Chiddi. They were apprehended while allegedly attempting to flee from the scene. During the interrogation, the police recovered the knife used in the crime and the clothes the suspects were wearing at the time of the incident.
Previous Criminal Records
The police disclosed that both accused individuals have prior criminal records. The authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation to establish the sequence of events that led to the fatal attack and to determine the motive behind the crime.
