Two workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) were killed in separate incidents in Howrah and Birbhum districts of West Bengal, following a spate of post-poll violence in the state.

According to police reports, the BJP worker was killed in Howrah district, while the TMC worker lost his life in Birbhum district. "The administration must act decisively and without bias. Those responsible for these heinous acts should be brought to justice, no matter which party they belong to," Bhattacharya said in a statement.
