NEW DELHI: Two friends returning home after watching an IPL match were killed when a speeding car rammed their motorcycle from behind near in northeast Delhi on Friday night. The victims, Rohit (31) and Hemant (33), both residents of Karawal Nagar, were riding a Bullet motorcycle when a Maruti Celerio allegedly hit them, leaving them critically injured near Bhajanpura Metro Station.
PCR personnel rushed the duo to JPC Hospital, where doctors declared both dead on arrival. Police have arrested the accused driver, Himanshu (27), and seized the offending vehicle. A case under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered at Khajuri Khas police station. Forensic experts inspected the accident site, and further investigation is underway.
